Artist's
Bio
Victoria
Varga's line of etched jewelry, two years in the making, was
introduced in 1995. It combines Gold leaf over Sterling Silver
with semi-precious stones, a bold new process she calls "handmade
and high-tech" The images were drawn on computer and
later engraved into the metal. The photo etch technique enables
her to cut delicate shapes out of sheet Silver. Two summers
at Parsons School of Design in Lake Placid, New York, a Bachelor's
degree in Fine Art at Skidmore College, and a Master of Fine
Arts degree from Syracuse University helped launch Victoria
as a fine jeweler and an expert designer. |
